Description of Safety Devices

1. CE Guards
The machine comes with a full set of safety guards to protect users against the risk of projections.

2. Anti-kickback Fingers
With 3 layers of protection (bottom/top/top), this equipment offers a complete shield against wood fragments and more importantly against unexpected kickback.

3. Feeding Protection
X Blade series is capable to rip thicknesses up to 120/150mm. When the workpiece exceeds the set thickness by 5mm, it will trigger a limit switch placed over the first spring of infeed rollers. This helps to avoid any possible damage to the machine.

4. Conveyor Door Protection
On the right side of the access door to the chain conveyor, there is one limit switch that triggers when this door is open or not properly closed.

5. Roller Elevation Protection
At the rear of the machine, two limit switches ensure that users remain in the proper range of motion (up/down). this is only available for the motorized lift option.

6. Spindle Elevation Protection
The handle which allows the operator to adjust the elevation of the saw spindle is equipped with a stop nut. This prevents any unexpected contact between the saw blade and the chain conveyor.

7. Locking System
An Omron guard lock safety door switch (reference D4NL) from Japan secures the access door to the saw blades. This prevents opening of the door when the machine is processing or when it is powered off.

8. Power Lock
An ABB switch disconnector (reference OT80F3) from Sweden protects the access to the electrical cabinet. This prevents opening of the door when machine is powered on.

9. Emergency Stop Button
At the infeed and outfeed, two emergency stop buttons allow users to immediately and completely power down the machine in the event of an emergency.
