Compact: Chain Conveyor Explained!

Chain Conveyor Description

• Chain Elements
The single chain conveyor consists of 36 chain elements. Having a chain on the left side of the saw blade allows the operator to perform trimming operations with glue line cuts and perfect straightness. On 1m long material, the tolerance stays within a range from 0.10 ~ 0.15mm.

• Made-in-Taiwan Cast Iron
Chain elements are made from Taiwanese Cast Iron, which offers high strength properties and excellent wear resistance.

Chain Conveyor Elements

• Chain Bed & Ramp
The chain elements are mounted on a complete cast iron structure made with a chain bed and a ramp. The guide way at the front is slightly adjustable to perform specific ripping applications.

Chain Bed Ramp

• Gear Wheel
The chain conveyor is moving over one gear wheel connected to the feeding motor. It is possible to use variable feeding speeds or add an optional feature to control the feeding speed by inverter.

Variable Feeding Speeds

• Cleaning Brush
Two brushes are cleaning the inner and outer parts of the conveyor. This prevents any wood chips from getting into the chain bed, the chain ramp and the gear wheel mechanism.

• Auto Lubrication
All edgers are equipped with an automatic lubrication system that ensures permanent lubrication of the chain. On Compact edger, the lubricating oil is distributed through 4 holes in the chain bed and 2 holes in the ramp. When the oil level is too low, an audible alarm will sound to warn the operator.
