Advanced: Bottom Saw Arbor!

Saw Arbor Description

• Arbor Dimensions
The saw arbor on Advanced edger is designed to fit saw blades with diameters up to 510mm. The bore diameter is set at 50.8mm with a 14mm pin hole.

Saw Blade
In option, it is possible to change to a 30mm bore diameter with a 15mm pin hole.

30mm Bore Diameter

• Swedish SKF & Japanese NSK
The saw arbor is mounted on 2 SKF bearings reference 7209 BEP & 1 NSK bearing reference 6208 VV, which are both known for their high quality and lifespan. (source: www.skf.com & www.nsk.com).

• Saw Assembly Elements
The saw blade is placed between one internal and one external washers before being tighten to the saw arbor with the tightening screw. It is essential to correctly align the pin hole with the holes of the internal and external washers in order to fit the locating pin.

Saw Blade Mounting

• Direct Drive Mechanism
The spindle motor is directly transmitting the torque to the saw arbor without any reductions. This increases the efficiency with less friction loss, while reducing the overall noise emission. Besides, direct drive design is made with less moving parts, which, in turn, will result in longer system lifetime.

Direct Drive Mechanism

• Instant Brake System
At the rear of the spindle motor, it is possible to add an instant brake system. As soon as the emergency stop button is actuated, it immediately stops the saw blade within 4 seconds (adjustable upon request).

Rip Saw Brake

• Saw Bench
The saw arbor is mounted on a ruggedly built saw bench. This facilitates the up and down motions of the saw blade by turning the handwheel counterclockwise and clockwise respectively.

Saw Bench Mechanism

• Manual Lubrication
It is recommended to grease the saw bench mechanism once every week. To complete this procedure, use the grease gun provided with the machine to the grease nipple locations indicated in the user manual.
